Yes, PackRip is completely free. No accounts, no purchases, no microtransactions, no premium currency you can buy with real money. Hosting is covered by clearly labelled affiliate links to TCGplayer plus display advertising — never gameplay paywalls. Your in-game coins and Pack Dust are entirely earnable through gameplay, and nothing you buy anywhere changes your odds.
PackRip uses one ordered rare-slot roll, but the effective result is set-specific. If a set has no cards in a rarity band, that interval can fall through to the next populated tier; a single universal percentage table would therefore be misleading. Pack layouts also change by era. Choose a set and open its Pull rates panel for the effective numbers generated from that set's actual card pools, or read the full methodology.
PackRip features 139 booster sets — 128 English spanning the WotC, EX, Diamond & Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold & SoulSilver, Black & White, XY, Sun & Moon, Sword & Shield, Scarlet & Violet and Mega Evolution eras, from Base Set (1999) through Pitch Black (2026), plus 11 vintage Japanese Pocket Monsters Card Game expansions (1996-2001). On top of the booster sets there are 53 WotC Black Star Promos, 153 Play! Pokémon POP Series promos across POP1-POP9 (2004-2009), the Trainer Gallery and Shiny Vault subsets, McDonald's Collections and the modern Black Star Promo tracks. 21,380 unique cards in total.
Your collection, coins, dust pool, badge progress, achievement progress, and quest state are saved in your browser via localStorage. Cross-device sync is also on by default: that same anonymous progress snapshot is sent to PackRip's Cloudflare Worker under an anonymous UUID so another device can claim it. There is no account, email or personal data involved, and you can switch sync off in Settings to keep the device local-only. You can also Export the JSON at any time and Import it elsewhere. See the privacy policy for the full description.
Every card you pull adds dust to that set's own pool: 1 for Common, 1 for Uncommon, 3 for Rare, 9 for Holo, 12 for Pokemon-ex, 15 for Secret Rare, 18 for Shining, 24 for Gold Star, 30 for Crystal — with a +30% bonus if the card is a duplicate. Spend dust on any missing card from that same set: 10 Common, 25 Uncommon, 50 Rare, 150 Holo, 200 Pokemon-ex, 250 Secret, 300 Shining, 400 Gold Star, 500 Crystal. Dust is per-set, so you can't fund a Crystal craft with Common dust from easier sets.
5 free packs per day baseline, plus 1 daily login streak pack as a bonus. Equipping the Cascade Badge raises the daily limit to 6, the Hive Badge raises it to 7. Beyond the daily allowance, you can buy unlimited Basic (50 coins), Premium (150 coins), or Hunt (350 coins) packs from the in-game shop using coins earned by selling duplicates. Bulk 10× packs are available to everyone from the start — the coin cost is the only gate.
A God Pack is a rare 1-in-500 booster where every card in the pack is a Holo Rare — 11 holos in a WotC-era rip, 9 or 10 in the smaller later pack layouts. It can roll on free packs and on Basic packs, but Premium and Hunt packs are excluded so the tier can't be coin-grinded. A set also needs at least as many distinct Holo Rares as its pack size for the roll to be possible at all.
16 sequential challenges that unlock permanent gameplay perks. 8 Kanto badges (Boulder, Cascade, Thunder, Rainbow, Soul, Marsh, Volcano, Earth), 4 Johto badges (Zephyr, Hive, Fog, Plain), 4 Hoenn badges (Storm, Dynamo, Mind, Rain). Perks include pack discounts, extra daily packs, sell-rate bonuses, XP multipliers, and rate boosts on Shining (Plain Badge, 1.5×) and Crystal (Rain Badge, 1.5×) pulls.
Sell duplicate cards for coins based on real TCGplayer market value at a 10% sell rate (badges and trainer level multiply this 0.75x-1.50x). Earn coins from daily streaks, level-ups, achievements, badge unlocks, the monthly login calendar, and quests. Spend on Basic, Premium, or Hunt packs from the in-game shop. There is no daily coin earning cap — the rate scales down at higher levels to keep the economy from becoming self-sustaining at endgame.
No. Every booster set is open to everyone from the very first pack — all 128 English booster sets plus the 11 vintage Japanese expansions, from Base Set (1999) through Pitch Black (2026). There is no level gating on decks: use the search box on the home screen to jump straight to any set and start ripping. Trainer XP and levels still drive quests, Gym Badge perks, achievements, and the coin economy, but they never block which packs you can open.
Hunt Pack lets you target a specific card. Pick any card you want to chase, pay 350 coins, and the pack guarantees increased odds for that card based on its rarity tier: 60% for Common-Uncommon-Rare, 50% for Holo, 40% for Pokemon-ex, 30% for Secret Rare, 15% for Shining, 10% for Crystal, 8% for Gold Star. The Hunt rate compounds across multiple packs — 5 Hunt packs at 50% gives you ~97% cumulative chance.
The sell-all and sell-duplicates features always preserve at least one copy of every card. You can manually sell individual copies via Card Modal if you want to clear binder space, but accidental "sold my last Charizard" scenarios are prevented by design. Selling rates are transparent — the price shown in the UI is the price you receive. No hidden fees or daily caps.
Clearing browser data wipes localStorage on that device. If cross-device sync is on (it is by default), your progress is still held against your anonymous UUID on PackRip's server and can be reclaimed — export that UUID from Settings and treat it like a password, because anyone holding it can pair to the same anonymous account. For a belt-and-braces backup, open Settings → Export collection → save the JSON file, and restore with Settings → Import on any device.
Legendary Collection (2002) printed every card in two parallel variants — a normal print and a reverse holo print. PackRip catalogues these as separate IDs: e.g. base6-3 is normal Charizard, base6-3-rh is the reverse holo Charizard, 220 IDs in total for the set. Each is a distinct collectible with its own dust craft cost (50 dust for a reverse holo, versus 150 for a regular Holo). Reverse holos appear in the parallel reverse-holo slot of Legendary Collection packs.

Yes, with two caveats. They are TCGplayer market median prices for raw ungraded copies, snapshotted via scripts/build-prices.mjs and bundled as a static JSON file — so they reflect the market at the time of the last snapshot, not right now. Some cards have no upstream price at all and are shown as unpriced rather than estimated. Graded copies (PSA, BGS, CGC) trade separately from raw; check a population report and current sold listings for those — see our grading guide.
