Free cosmetic-only simulator — no real money, no prizes, no redemption, no opportunity to win anything of value.
PackRip (packrip.co) is a free Pokemon booster pack opening simulator, an unofficial fan project not affiliated with Nintendo, The Pokemon Company, or Game Freak. Gameplay is fully free. There is no payment, checkout, subscription, or donation surface of any kind anywhere on the site.
PackRip does not require account creation or login. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal information you provide directly, because there is no form in which to provide it. There is no newsletter, no transactional email, and no user profile.
Game progress. Your collection, coins, dust, stats, quests and settings are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. Cross-device sync is on by default and sends that anonymous game-progress snapshot to PackRip's Cloudflare Worker so another device can claim the same identifier. You can turn sync off in Settings to keep a device offline.
Anonymous identifier. PackRip mints a random anonymous identifier (a UUID stored as packrip_uid) used only for cross-device sync and Daily Seeded Challenge leaderboard entries. It is not linked to an email address, a name, or any real-world identity. It is the only identifier the service holds. Treat an exported UUID like a password: anyone holding it can pair another browser to the same anonymous save.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 via Firebase to understand how people use the simulator. It may collect pages visited and time spent, device type, browser and operating system, approximate country- or city-level location, referral source, and aggregated usage events such as packs opened. This data is aggregated and we cannot identify an individual person from it.
PackRip serves Google AdSense ads on eligible pages. Every display unit is placed by hand at a fixed position; Auto ads, anchor ads and vignettes are off, so an automatic ad never appears over the page or between screens. Ads are served non-personalized: ad storage, ad user data and ad personalization stay denied regardless of what you choose in the consent banner. The pack-opening animation, the embeddable widget, and the per-card and per-Pokemon database pages carry no ads at all. Opening routes may show one banner after the reveal, or request a rewarded video only after the player chooses “Watch ad” at the free-pack limit.
PackRip participates in the TCGplayer affiliate program, operated through impact.com. If you click a "Buy on TCGplayer" link and complete a purchase, PackRip earns a small commission at no extra cost to you. Those links are labelled as affiliate links and carry rel="sponsored" per FTC and Google Search guidance. TCGplayer and impact.com set their own cookies to attribute the referral; see their privacy policies for their practices.
PackRip sets one first-party cookie holding the anonymous identifier described above. Google Analytics, Google AdSense and impact.com set their own cookies as described in their policies. A consent banner controls analytics storage; advertising storage stays denied either way.
Because PackRip holds no personal information tied to you, there is nothing to look up by name or email. You can nevertheless erase everything the service stores for your identifier at any time: clear your browser storage to remove local data, and use the in-app data deletion to erase the synced snapshot from PackRip's Worker. Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection under the GDPR; California residents have the rights to know, delete, correct and opt out under the CCPA/CPRA. PackRip does not sell or share personal information, and there is no cross-context behavioural advertising to opt out of, because ads are non-personalized.
PackRip is a general-audience site and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads are non-personalized site-wide, which is why ad personalization is denied for every visitor rather than only for some.
The third-party services involved are Google (Analytics, Firebase and AdSense), Cloudflare (hosting and the sync Worker), impact.com and TCGplayer (affiliate attribution), and the open-source Pokemon TCG API used to build the card catalogue. If this policy changes materially, the updated policy will be published on this page.
Questions about this policy or about data deletion: arinc@packrip.co.

Card data and card images come from the open-source Pokemon TCG API; pack art and set logos from ptcg-assets; market prices are a bundled snapshot of TCGplayer data. Pull rates shown on PackRip are the simulator's own published rate table, not official figures.
